Black Myth: Wukong is an upcoming action role-playing game by Chinese indie developer Game Science, based on the classical 16th-century Chinese novel Journey to the West. The game has been described as Souls-like. The player controls a monkey with an uncanny resemblance to the titular character referred to in the game as "the Destined One" to fight through an assortment of enemies, with abilities to transform into flying insects or a giant monster.

the visuals are sweet but the fact the dodge rolls are all normal feels like a missed chance to have him dance more w/ his staff and weave combos that way. The clone mimic + hardening is sweet though. Kind of like Mortal Shell in that case.

I hope they make this as series: wukong then the Pigsy then Tang Seng, Sandy, White Dragon Horse. And making the Journey to the West .And then making the game about Nezha too. Oh this so good.

Everything looks amazing and the soundtrack gets more emotional as the fights go on, which I really like. I really don't like the fact you can dodge pretty much everything and the hits to the enemies don't feel very impactful which is a game changer for me. Souls player or not they NAILED how it feels when you make contact with an enemy with your weapon whereas this looks like I'll be hitting a huge creature with a stick.

Comes out in august so pumped I don't like watching footage but I can't help myself hopefully all this gameplay is like 5 percent of all of it
