Should we all be playing drums open handed?

Is open-handed the best way to be playing the drums? I think it could be. This video will talk you through the advantages and challenges of open-handed playing.

Sure, playing the drums open-handed is a big challenge for those of us who have been playing cross-handed for many years. That doesn't mean it isn't worth giving it a go.

I am left handed and wanted to learn open handed but on a right hand set up. Is it possible to play this way and just alternate my hands as I play or is it better to adjust my setup?
