Dashcam Helps Delhi Police Arrest Goons Harassing Driver

Why you should have a dashcam? A group of goons were caught on dashcam harassing the car driver at night in Delhi. Initially, a pillion rider on a bike signalled the car driver to stop his car however it was no noticed by the car driver. Later, the a group of bikers gathered and forcefully stopped the car on the middle of the road. These goons approached the car driver and started harassing the driver and eventually the driver had to beg for mercy and asked them to leave saying sorry.

The goons never noticed the car had dashcam. The driver posted the dashcam video on Twitter and tagged the Delhi police. Delhi police caught these goons in just one day and registered FIR. This is a perfect example of why dashcam is important or why dashcam is a necessity. There are several such examples of why you need a dashcam. When someone tries to stop you like this by blocking the road, hit the accelerator as hard you can drive over them. Then in court say, "Milord I got scared for my life and hit the accelerator instead of brakes".

I have been using Dashcam since 2014.
In addition, I always have a can of pepper spray in my door pocket.
If such goons approach me, they will have pepper spray straight in their eyes.

Happened to me as well, group of bikes kicked and harassed me for not giving them freedom to cut across 3 lanes of traffic.
They were arrested 3 days later thanks to amazing work of ulsoor police.

I live in the capital city of India. Have traveled all the places within New Delhi. This is a daily affair. I agree with your suggestion of having a dashcam and appreciate how you pointed out the lady making the mistake on the road. One would wonder how so many people even have a license to any vehicle. Also, I would like to point out what commonly happens here. The goons were probably let go without any consequences, my intention is to state what generally does happen. They would NOT stop harassing the public on roads and wherever they would go. A lot and I mean a lot of such goons go out to ride with only 1 aim and that is to harass people and pick up fights. They would never change. Yes, the dashcam can atleast be useful to make them go away after pointing out that they're being recorded and after the innocent party has apologized to them for their "disobedience" and bowing down to these street goons. Which is also kind of practical for a sane person. I could even point out at the type and the couple of communities of the ones that predominantly look for trouble out on the roads but then even then I would sound very bad although frank. I wouldn't directly say so for fear of offending some or even the actually nice ones. Thanks for reading.

Just Delhi things actually. I honestly wish to Delhi someday, but the crime rate there is what keeps me from exploring the capital. To think that our capital is one of the most dangerous places in the country is a shame.
