Will Russia and China enter an alliance ? With Simon Saradzhyan

As evidenced by the recent (almost 30th) meeting of Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping, Russian-Chinese cooperation keeps growing stronger in what begs the question: What would be the most accurate description of this amity? Is it a “grand alignment of the aggrieved,” as Graham Allison describes it, or is it an “axis of convenience,” as Bobo Lo has put it, or is it a de facto alliance, as per Sergei Karaganov? Moreover, if it is not an alliance, will it evolve into one?
