Members of the Surviving Sepsis Campaign Guidelines Taskforce discussed the new and modified recommendations for adult patients with sepsis and septic shock, released in October 2021. The speakers discussed evidence-based recommendations and best practice statements in the areas of screening and early treatment, initial resuscitation, mean arterial pressure targets, ICU admission guidance, infection, hemodynamic management, ventilation, additional therapies, and a new section on long-term goals of care. Practice changes to consider and guidelines processes that led to the recommendations were also discussed. The speakers also answered questions about the guidelines.

I think they advise keeping MAP at 65 not more than 70. because keeping MAP more than 70 is more harmful than maintaining slightly above 65
