Time to take a look back at the books I hauled in May of 2019 and May of 2020 to see how many I have read. Spoiler alert: it's pretty bleak.

Further viewing:

1 library book (Green River Killer by Jeff Jensen)
Catch-22, Joseph Heller
Rabbit, Run, John Updike
Rabbit Redux, John Updike
The House of the Spirits, Isabel Allende
The Women of Brewster Place, Gloria Naylor
Amateur: A Reckoning with Gender, Identity, and Masculinity, Thomas Page McBee

The Knock-Out Queen, Rufi Thorpe

My husband made a cookbook! Check it out here:

But wait, there's more!

Pile of hopefuls. Love that! And the tote bag thing? 😂😂 Reminds of Arthur from King of Queens, purchasing something else to get a tote bag and then ended up getting the entire civil war collection but no, he wanted that tote bag.😂😂

Oh man... I don’t even want to think about holding myself accountable for recent book hauls 😳. Rabbit redux is book 2 😍 I have Rabbit at Rest on my list to read this month which is book 3. We will see how I do! I like Daughter of Fortune by Allende. It is one of my favorites for 2021. 😍❤️😍.

First time I don't like one of your favourites. I absolutely despise *Catch 22* . *The House with the Spirits* I loved when i read it, but that must be 20 years ago. I might reread that this year. *The Women of Brewster Place* is also on my TBR for this year.

I have the most beautiful hardback of Amateur from the UK. I haven’t read it yet, but I plan to read it this summer as part of picking up some older books on my TBR.

I finished Michael Lewis’s The Premonition this week and it was fantastic. A really unique take on the pandemic from people who were deeply involved but never heard from. It didn’t give me pandemic jitters either. Highly recommended!

I just started A Thousand Ships by Natalie Haynes last night. It’s a Trojan War retelling from the women’s perspective. I love it so far. I loved mythology as a kid. I don’t know why it’s taken me so long to pick up one of the myth retelling books in my stack. I’ve got Circe and the Pat Barker book waiting too. Maybe Mythology May?

I wasn’t expecting you to say a “blood bath” 😂
What will you do with the data from these videos? I know the goal is to become a more conscientious reader and book consumer but how will you do that? Asking for a friend 🙄💕

I read The Women of Brewster Place with Lindsey last year and we both really liked it. FYI, the LGBT element doesn't come in until close to the end.

Just finished reading The Final Revival of Opal and Nev. It was a beautiful book. Thanks for recommending it.

Please just read The House of the Spirits! I feel like you've mentioned it several times about wanting to read it. It's one of my faves. :)
