I see lots of complaints about Superman not wanting to kill Atomic Skull. But I think you should save some outrage for whoever thought it was a good idea to try and use Atomic Skull as a power plant after he was captured.

It's good to be idealistic at times, however it's also important to remember that there comes a point where ideals meet reality. Atomic skull and a lot of the A listers will never be rehabilitated and a good portion can barely be contained. With all the harm they've done and all the harm they will do the right thing is ensuring they can never hurt anyone again.
A dollar for a dollar, an eye for an eye, a life for a life is what makes the scales of lady justice balance so society can go on.
