Title: The fields & discoveries of the North Sea - key learning across the entire basin

Abstract: The evolution and distribution of oil and gas fields and discoveries in the entire North Sea and west of Great Britain shows the evolution of geologic concepts through the decades. Maps by geologic age and discoveries through time show important trends and play fairways which cross international boundaries seamlessly. We will illustrate how all oil and gas fields and discoveries fit with offshore wind, wave, tidal, gas storage and geothermal activity across the region. Based on the TROVE KnowledgeBase, we will demonstrate how future strategic area plans and hub analyses can be quickly and efficiently updated, using the Laggan, Tormore, Edradour & Glenlivet, west of Shetland as an example. The integration of planned windfarms, CCUS and hydrogen with existing oil & gas facilities is an evolving energy landscape which will gather pace in the coming decades. TROVE has grown to be the most comprehensive technical KnowledgeBase for companies involved in O&G and interested in transitioning towards net-zero targets.

The information compiled to create this talk came from our TROVE KnowledgeBases covering the entirety of North West Europe, including our Hub Analysis toolkit. These are available as a subscription service - to find out more visit our website or email us today!

Mike great video, does The North, Norwegian, Irish Seas contain Heavy Crude like in Mexico or Persian/Arab Gulf or is the Crude only Light Sweet?
