I dont know why people are criticizing this. The robots dont act or even look like I'Robot, nor does it look cheap. Looks like practical effects instead of gobs of computer generated models. Also it could easily be attempting to make a realistic depiction of near future robots, like the really creepy ones over in japan with synthetic skin.

Rented it on iTunes.
It's actually decent in a lot of parts but the ending left a lot to be desired.
Also, it did feel like a retread of I, Robot (with some Elysium and Blade Runner tossed in) but Banderas as "Jacq" is well worth watching. Also, Melanie Griffith's voice in "Cleo" works really well (as it helps sell how Dr. Dupré infused her own voice patterns into the sex bot).
Not a bad film by any means.

After watching Transcendence I noticed that there is a handful of movies that end with all technology being wiped out with an EMP or something like that (The Day The Earth Stood Still remake, Surrogates, etc, ) It's so stupid that they blame technology for humanities stupidity. I going to watch this movie in spite of them. It might be bad, or it might be good, I don't know. It has to be better than Transcendence.

those robots were real, there was no CGI (Computer-generated imagery) used in those robots u can see how smart it become to use real robots in movies now but not like they can react like human but at least u can realize how much technology how gone far i was this close to be deceived by the robots and i tough they r animated, well done director
