America is one of very few countries to have a debt ceiling at all, and the only country to run up to the limit so regularly because of how low it is compared to the size of the economy.

Instead of repealing it, just pass a law that says if the debt cannot be paid, all marginal tax rates on businesses and corporations with earnings greater than $1, 000, 000 shall be increased in a proportional amount to cover all of the outstanding liabilities… then taxes will be massively increased on the financial donors funding the GOP and they won’t be able to play these games.

Debt ceiling and the filibuster are more important than actual people to politicians. Amazingly enough neither items are not a part of the constitution so why are either item so "sacred".

Thanks for mentioning that inflation is worse in Europe. I often feel that Americans are so wrapped up in themselves that they simply are not aware that our inflation, out gas prices, our heating oil & natural gas prices have always been higher than in America. When you all whine about the cost of a gallon of gas still being too high, I get so angry! We are paying $7.42 PER GALLON over here. That’s right, €2.00 per litre.
