I love how pc is still supportive of dianes decision despite what’s happened with her attempts at having children. Really shows how much thought they creators put into every scene

The fact that this is coming from PC, who spends half the series trying to have a child, is so powerful

PC always the wisest character. Amy sedaris is a genius

Not everyone needs or wants kids. You’re not bad for it. You don’t need a kid to be worth it. And I know we’re gonna get people that will say “pEoPlE aRe HeRe To HaVe KiDs” or “ArE yOu DuMb?!” Fight me.

I love this scene cause it's two women talking about a woman's issue and how it affects them. Without anything else to it. It's nice

When a show about humanized animals handles a sensitive topic better than any of the government officials who are controlling it.

Coming from a woman who desperately wants kids and has had like four miscarriages by this point, Princess Carolyn needs to change her name to Queen Carolyn.

I love this moment between them. They both want the opposite for themselves and yet they’re still able to support eachother and be respectful

This reminds me of when I told my sister that I was getting an abortion. I didnt want to tell her because shes wanted kids her whole life but probably wont be able to have any. I had to tho (the situation called for it. Long story.) But she was super supportive and didnt ask for any explanation. I'm so glad there are people like her out there who understand that that's a choice everyone should be able to make.

Whole episode just gained a whole lot more relevance now that Roe v Wade got overturned, huh

I love this because despite PC having trouble having kids she doesn’t shame Diane for choosing not to have one. She doesn’t get jealous or mean. She’s just a supportive friend that understands that her desires don’t matter in other peoples lives.

I still think this show has some of the most "human" characters out there even though they are half animal. Such a good show.

Honestly, this line can only be best said by PC.

this whole episode is so important it shows that pro choice is all about women supporting other womens choices dispite that they want for their own lives which is so very important

Kids are a big responsibility that take lots of resources.

There are those that chase after parenthood all their life and others that wanna stay as far from that as possible.

Everyone has individual goals. We should not make people who don't wanna be parents, parents.

I'm glad Bojack Horseman addressed this topic and showed the troubles some people face when considering an abortion. No one should be shamed for getting one or considering one.

Also, they get a call from Sextina after this saying that she’s actually gotten pregnant for real and wants to keep the baby. And instead of panicking or getting mad at her, they immediately start coming up with ideas to protect her image.

PC never holds it against Diane for what she did, despite trying desperately half of the show to have a baby herself. And thats what makes this moment so powerful.

Some of these comments are insane to me (if you want to debate with some prolifers just sort newest first) but we’re hearing a first hand account of a woman who struggled with a difficult choice, but ultimately chose what she believed was best for her despite the pressures of society. And another woman who is struggling to HAVE a child supporting her through it, because she understands that it’s not her place to dictate another person’s body, but to support them.

And there are still comments saying that this made them hate the character, the character was garbage and deserved nothing after this episode, that she was a murderer and they wish something horrible had happened to her. Like it’s a FICTIONAL CHARACTER and these people are so hell bent on their hate that they will curse a cartoon character for making a fictional choice in a fictional world
