I will point out that exceeding Mach 25 is still high-hypersonic. It's just that you will start to fall upward due to exceeding orbital speed. Even so, if a plane can maintain a gee of downward lift (or more likely fly upside down), it should be able to reach escape velocity before it starts falling upward unsustainably. Note, however, that it would have to deal with 11000 Kelvin air rushing at it, which WILL cause it to melt or sublimate if the heat cannot be dispersed by radiators or something. There is also very little in the way of technology known to be able to accelerate air to this extent. Perhaps a scramjet-like evolution of the designed gas core nuclear lightbulb reactor rocket, with its absurdly high exhaust temperatures, would allow for a jet plane to reach such obscene speeds. Afterall, air at 25000 Kelvins is moving at 25 kilometers per seconds, and in an efficient scramjet-style nuclear jet engine, incoming air would not be stopped on the way through. Thus, the exhaust from air that came in at 11 kilometers per second would be accelerated by less than 25 km/s, but would still have a speed exceeding that. This is probably the most practical design for any spacecraft capable of entering the atmosphere of a gas giant and returning.
