What kind of fixed gear can a low budget build? | Fixed Gear Bike Check

The bike I ride, channel sponsor, pretty cool people:

Mildly ironic Reasonably Dangerous cycling shirts:

With a low budget, you'll usually get a better fixed gear buying a complete bike versus trying to build a cheap one yourself. But with a complete bike, you miss out on a key component that makes fixed gear so fun: riding a bike that's truly your own. From Singapore, Ooi Jo Wen stretched his dollar far with his PCO Aerosprint at a grand total of $293.34. Let's take a closer look in this fixed gear bike check.

2. What's the story behind your bike? What makes it unique? What do you like/dislike about it?
3. Send me your 1080p or 4k video files via Google Drive or Dropbox. Video files must be: 1) 10-15 seconds long each 2) have as little camera movement as possible (little camera shake, no pans/zooms) 3) 20-25 different shots with 3 shots of your complete bike is a good amount.
4. Keep in mind I'll run ads on the video to help cover the cost of producing the bike checks. Gotta stay fed.

Built my fixed gear around $150, bought second hand parts that are still decent. I runs smooth not the best but good enough for me.

Just looking at the components on the thumbnail, this makes me want to send in my budget gravel build! Still looks like a nice build, can't wait for the vid to get live

*Looked at a lot of options for getting my **Latest.Bike** . Great find in SAVA. Super light, nice components, really good value as it comes with many options only found in much higher priced bikes.*

I picked up a Raleigh Back Alley brand new for $125. It’s not so bad, I hate the seat and use it as a booze cruiser.

Hey man, I got my first fixed gear bike. After watching your videos about skidding and track stand, I feel more comfortable learning it. Your videos are super helpful. I’d like to share how my bike looks to you and tell me what you think. Anything you suggest would be awesome. Thanks!

And I thought I did well with my Aventon complete. This one looks great and probably rides great. Had paired spokes on my front wheel that looked really cool. At 14 spokes and 107 kg I had to consider reality however!

I bought this frame 3 times and my last chapter of it I got the last rare colour that is raw silver then I traded it with an Airwalk frame.

I wonder if Zach will accept my coaster brake bike as a submission...

I laced the wheels myself, and although the frameset itself might have questionable branding, it's actually much better than you'd expect.

First time you hear about fixed... you don't know shhh. Then you discover the better brands. In the end you have what you thought you wanted and ended up building your own interpretation of what cycling means!! I'm building up a used Masi frame that I bought from fb marketplace.

"Should you buy a complete bike or build up yourself?" "Yes" thank you zach

Love a roast with red wine. You have to be British to fully appreciate that. And yes, I am subscribed.

I'd pick a vintage road frame instead of that PCO, but to each their own.
