Just a correction... You mentioned there is only 1 x USB-A port (on the back)... There are actually two; the other one is on the bottom, underneath the panel.

To me the lack of webcam is a blessing. I never use it. And I always feel weird when there's a camera lens right in front of me. I even block my phone's front camera 😅

Can't decide between this or Dell UltraSharp U2725QE (or it's predecessor U2723QE) or Asus ProArt PA279CRV.

So I can't us that with 2 same Monitor for Macbook?

I fid it funny that people complain about the camera. I have a logitech that for 80 euros is better than the mac studio cam and it easily adds onto any monitor.

All the tech people I talked to said the scaling will be perfect if you’re using an M4 Mac. But you have to connect it the HDMI. If you do so Mac OS will scale it automatically and perfectly. The problem is any non HDMI connection. Theirs where the problem is..

I’m currently testing one, as I too was on the fence with the ASD. Coming from a 5K iMac I worried about the downside’s of 4K and scaling. But for the money this monitor indeed has been fantastic and has integrated very well into my Mac workflow and ecosystem. I bought the 27” and at normal viewing distances with a side by side comparison with my 5K iMac it can be difficult to truly see all of the nuanced differences between the two panels. Yes 5K is beautiful and sharp, ink-like with text. But for my work in UX/UI where we typically zoom in/out it’s even more of a non issue. To my surprise. The software integration is great and overall definitely adds to the Mac-like experience. I had also saw a report where a user measured 98% P3 colour, so colour accuracy has likely been understated in documentation. I still want a studio display, but this one is making it very tough as there is significant savings and value here.

Thanks for the introduction to this monitor. I like to know if it copes with HDR photo editing on a Mac Mini like the iPad does (or MacBook Air)

I understand that this display is great for MacBook laptops but can it be good and does it have the same color if plugged into a Mac mini or Studio desktops? Does it work just as well with Mac desktops too?

I bought a mac mini m4, I'm a photographer and I would like to know if this monitor is 100% compatible with the mac mini or just for macbook?

This monitor can't be designed for the Mac when it's a 4K 32" display. The Apple scaling requires a 218 dpi screen & a 32" screen would have to be 6K to run efficiently with Mac OS. Yes the software scaling can be applied but it makes text either fuzzy or tiny & forces the CPU to work extremely hard to scale the entire system OS. It's way more logical to simply buy either a 27" 5K monitor that matches the Studio Display's 218 dpi or a 6K 32" model dong the same thing. So far I can only find about 5 matches on the market that can natively run the MAC OS without scaling. BENQ's new PD2730S coming in a few more weeks will do it, though I don't at what cost. I'm guessing it comes in about $300 below the ridiculous ASD but with the additional features you have to pay out the nose for on the Apple monitor. That would put it at $1300. Purchasing the $1500 Apple display with nano-texture anti-reflection glass & a full tilt, raise & swivel stand pushes the Studio Display up to about $2300. That is literally the same that it costs to buy a new M4Pro Mac Mini & spec it out with 64GB of RAM & add the better processor in the pro lineup. No way Jose...I'm not about to spend $2300 for a monitor that isn't even adequate to cover enough of the RGB color gamut to ensure color accuracy for photographs that print. I'll wait for the BENQ in the Q1/2025 roll out.

BenQ MA320U seems really really great. I'd love one. Shame you can't actually buy one anywhere. Been trying for 3 months.

Why do people have to state the obvious? This is not an Apple. We all know that. But I want a larger screen than a 27” and my
Only option from apple is $6, 000
