Finally, someone mentions the original Eleanor and the Bluesmobile! Thanks for giving these cars attention and for the presentation!

My late husband had the '61 Rambler in the background in the movie "Its a Mad, Mad, Mad World" directed by Stanley Kramer. With Spencer Tracy, Milton Berle, Sid Caesar, Buddy Hackett.

You could make this series go forever with all of the movie and TV show cars that have come and gone over the years.

What a great video! The time literally flew by! I could have kept watching if more cars were in the video. Thanks for the updates on the cars and some great memories of these films.

My oldest brother looked just like Steve McQueen & drove a light bronze Fastback Stang in HS.

Cannonball 1976 is my favorite of all. David Carradine and the red 1973 Trans Am!

Eleanor was billed at the top. The car really was the star of the movie. Actually touched it. It was at a showing of the movie in Dallas. H.B Halicki used it in promoting the movie. It wasn't roped off or anything. People were more respectful of property back then.

That was brilliant, especially the information about McQ which is perhaps the least celebrated of the so called "car chase movies". What about a video on Ryan O'Neal's The Driver - surely one of the very best car chase movies ever made!!

One car I miss is the legendary Lotus Esprit S1 from The Spy who loved me.

12:01 ... I want to know what happened to the third star of Bullitt, the green Volkswagen that they passed about a dozen times in the big chase scene.

back in high school 2001 a friend of mine had a ragged out 73 mustang, 351W and automatic. the car barely ran when he drove it home, we did a tune up and rebuilt the original holley 4bbl and WOW that ugly old mustang sho nuff woke up!! We wrapped the speedo past 120 a couple times and it would fry the tires on demand! I had a 81 camaro with a mildly upgraded 350 and my car would just only slightly out run it. we was impressed with how well the stock ol stang ran, the engine finally threw a rod from so much teenager driving and dogging it out . fun times!!

My friend's cousin restored that '55 Chevy from 2 Lane Blacktop in Riverview, New Brunswick, Canada a few years back. Bought it cheap and sold it for a good profit. He's a total gearhead.

I'd love to know whereabouts of the Green VW Beetle from Bullitt, it had more screen time than either of the cars that were in the chase, as it was in every scene, it's probably still rolling around SF somewhere.
