1st thing to understand when you supply parts for Wintergaten: Your part WILL be cut.

I, and anyone else watching surely, got the biggest smile when hearing and seeing the bass play for the first time. This project is incredible and many kudos to you, Martin, and your team.

Poor you! To all the ones that don't have good audio equipment and can't enjoy these beautiful sounds.
Once again a video of perfection, I love this project!

Martin: spends a whole video making a sound optimized room for better voice recordings. Also Martin: doesn’t say a word the next video

I would love if, at the end of this process, we could get an album of all the music made by Martin in while he creates each part of the marble machine. Maybe something like "Work In Progress"? I've been absolutely loving these small snippets of what we have to look forward to upon completion. I believe!

MMX: Precision laser/plasma cut parts musically tuned by angle grinder.

This is my favorite part of the new machine so far. The way the droppers move is so mesmerizing.

This is the most hilariously over-complicated machine I have ever seen in my life. And it's beautiful. I can't wait to hear this thing playing full songs.

That moment at the end of the video when the bass starts playing: pure goosebumps while thinking about what music the MMX will play in the future :3

The artistic mastery necessary to keep an audience so thoroughly engaged for 19 minutes without ever saying a word is insane. Martin, you continue to impress me more and more. And to be honest, until today I doubted how clean, accurate, and uniform it would sound having 2 channels for each string, vibraphone note, etc., but it worked nearly perfectly and you haven’t even done too much fine-tuning yet. Hats off to you

Man hearing the recorded version immediately brought a huge smile to my face.

Martin: spends all of last week's episode making his studio soundproof so he can easily record voice overs

Also Martin: Films the very next video without any voice over whatsoever

Me, who knows absolutely nothing about welding: Wow! Martin's welding skills have really improved!

The sheer greatness of this machine is when you shot it up close. I am memorized by the movement. Listening to it move... AWESOME!

14:16 when you welded them little arms I thought - 'this is never going to work'

15:01 programming it, I'm thinking 'youre a mad man'

16:24 cut to recorded audio ... 'hes a f***ing genius'

This is gonna be awesome!!!

Been watching for a long time and it's wonderful to see his vision come to life.
I noticed that the when the bass guitar plays fast doubles, the second note sounds a little weaker. I think this is because of two things. The first thing is because the back row marble drops, which play the second note, are at a flatter angle than the front drops, so they aren't hitting the strings as directly as the front marble drops, and hence produce less sound. The second thing is because the bass strings are already vibrating from the first note played, so it takes more velocity to make the second note sound the same as the first, especially on the low strings.
I play percussion, and a similar kind of thing happens when playing the same note repeatedly on a vibraphone with the pedal down.
If you switch the order the drops play the doubles it might fix that, just some thoughts from a fellow percussionist. I wish you the best.

Hearing that "recorded" output put the goofiest smile on my face. This machine is an awe inspiring work of art made all the better by the work you are doing to take us along piece by piece. Keep it up!

Am I the only one who loves how even MMX is tapping its foot to the beat too? I mean, even it knows the music is gonna be FANTASTIC!
