Viper Car Alarm and Remote Starter Review

Car alarms have come a long way but the remotes haven't really impressed me, until now. The Viper 5806V comes with two ultra simple, elegant remotes that let you lock or unlock the doors, arm the alarm system, start the car and even automatically detect the temperature of the car and have it start itself.

Had this installed on my 2001 Tacoma. Lately I've had an issue where the alarm will go off for no reason. Could someone explain why this is happening and how I can fix this issue.

Just had one installed. Are the rear and talights and front corners supposed to turn on when you start the truck remotely? Mine come on but like how yours stay off. Thanks

Have to had any issues with the placement of the Control Center (the part with the blue blinking light on the windshield)? Best Buy was telling me it is best to run it through the roof panel and have it placed by the rear view mirror. But I had it placed by the rear view mirror before and didn’t like how with the Texas heat the adhesive would come off and the control center would just be hanging.

To ANYBODY: Is there a monthly subscription fee when the 2 way remote alerts you of a break-in, etc? I'm not getting the remote start for auto door locks & windows because my 88 Silverado is all manual. Getting it because I dont want my truck fucked with or stolen.

so i have a 2000 tacoma ; and i want to install this exact viper remote start / alarm system . when u remote start it and are ready to drive, where does teh ignition key go? do you have to double start it? thank you great video and nice 4 runner bro

How to disconnect the damn viper alarm and go back to stock? I bought a truck with a vioer alarm and i hate it. Especially when the loud voice comes on. 😊

how much Amps in average this remote starter will drain from battery?? Without remote starter power consumption in my car Honda Civic is about 0.04Amps. After remote starter installation battery drainage will be about 0.10 Amps, more, less ? Any specification in that matter??

I bought a Viper alarm/remote starter for my last new car. I am very disappointed and dissatisfied with Viper do to the poor quality of the main remote that has bad cracks all around the outside edge of the remote. I glued with crazy glue but it is no longer holding together. It should have a metal edge around the entire outer edge. It looked like it std but they are tricky in fooling the customer. It is painted plastic to look like metal. I resorted to the one way remote but can not tell if doors are open or closed. Plus.. my car continuously remotely starts accidentally because of poor design. I paid about $650 and will never buy another Viper product.

In the good old days, people like this... especially when it turns off and bragged(in the carpark) = viper, armed. Nowadays, there are youtubes on - how to start plane model blah blah blah, ship-boat model yada yada yada, computer boot sequence without bios set to usb and external usb

Why the inconvenience.?
To feel important and be a self-important prick then become a karen then complain about other karens then... war...? What sequence you want on the bloody remote.?!?! Viper should do boeing, airbus, bombardier, ....
