What some people don't understand, is that what some platonic kindred spirits have is extremely meaningful, FAR more than the strongest romances. What's the factor is how much MORE especially meaningful it is to Sabine and Ezra considering their backgrounds of having nothing/being left behind or betrayed, then being bestowed their new purpose by their space parents, and supporting and raising the other up from that point, seeing and helping the other grow. That kind of bond under those circumstances cannot be understated. It's so easy for two people to fall into the lovey dovey shit without knowing each other, whereas there are many very specific things that bring the characters of Sabine and Ezra together. The importance of it cannot be understood by people who have always had it good or don't desire anything more than normalcy, who don't feel the gravity of something deeper in their souls. "I've got your back, I've got yours... I'll be there for you, and I'll be there for you... I understand and it's important for me to, and it means the world to me that you're where you need to be, vice versa". Fuck romance, this is what it's about. Let's say no romance - this thing between them is still very much a loving relationship. Friends can love each other equally as much as romantic partners, it's just the degree of emotional and physical intimacy that is different.

That all being said, I'm all for it if Filoni decides to go down the romantic route, but that is all an ADDITION to what is already present, and their platonic bond to me explains them being willing to do this for each other.

As a Mandalorian, Sabine is simply not made a certain way where she knows someone she cares about at an infinite degree who is relying on her that much, who believes she would save him and has the faith in her to do so, and could be willing to let that person down and remain in a doomed fate where everyone else has given up on him.

Dave set it up right here. You can see this is foreshadowing a future romance between the two. I don’t know what this is. But clearly the body language clearly shows attraction and even the Noti have noticed this. The audience clearly wants this to go somewhere and it’s looking exactly like that, build up. It would make the relationship well earned and even more emotional. I mean come on, Sabine clearly likes Ezra and he feels the same way about her.

They deserve to be together, especially they had a lot of history…
So it’s time to stop playing games, loud and clear ..

They deserve a happy ending together.

They have a history together that cannot be denied. I do not think Ezra really ever lost his early crush on Sabine. It did however, evolve into something far more mature and much less hormone driven as he evolved and with Kanan's influence.
As far as Sabine is concerned she clearly had no interest in Ezra early on. She was clearly far more mature than Ezra even though not that much older than he was. She was also NOT the most trusting person either. But as Ezra grew more mature and developed in his abilities, Sabine's perception of him evolved as well. From the annoying little brother, to having some potential, to gaining respect and trust through his force abilities and successful missions together, and to something deeper when Ezra stepped into Kanan's place after his death. Sabine's feelings for Ezra stepped into nearly irrational after losing her family in the Purge of Mandalor. And she probably saw depression as well. I don't think Sabine will ever be quite what she used to be.
Another thing is that neither Sabine or Ezra ever explored romantic relationships either with each other or anyone else. What had priority focus was the rebellion. The mission came first and all else was pushed aside. As a result you have two adults that are still quite awkward with each other despite their feelings. Both are timid to take those first steps to something more.
I also think this is a George Lucas legacy of sorts. Han and Leia were ok chemistry wise. Anakin and Padme were, and let's be honest, ugh! I saw near zero chemistry with Hayden Christensen and Natalie Portman.

In baseball terms, Rebels put the ball on the tee, but Filoni and Disney don't want to step up to bat. I understand the reasoning behind NOT wanting them to be a couple (Filoni is apparently obsessed with making a point about platonic friendships), but the problem is that frankly, platonic friendships DON'T mean as much, especially in this context. For example, my best friend and I have known each other for almost 25 years. He's basically my brother in all but blood. Having said that, I'm not watching his house for years on end if he goes missing and I'm not risking the fate of the world on trying to find him, nor would he if the roles were reversed. The ONLY people I would do that for are my parents and my wife. Ezra is not a parental figure to Sabine, and I can't see Sabine guarding Ezra's home for YEARS or risking the entire Galaxy just to find her "Brother", especially when she still has Hera as a parental figure in her life.

I almost had a fucking aneurism when that recording of Ezra that Sabine has said "You're like a sister to me." 🤢🤢🤢

I still think it's a misdirection.

I don’t get how long this will take until those two will finally get together? Perhaps Disney doesn’t use romance that much.

I’m guessing they didn’t watch Rebels, considering Kanan and Hera (two original Disney characters) are pretty much the ONLY healthy relationship in Star Wars 😂

Also, the idea that something isn’t believable because they’re not love interests is so old Hollywood. Healthy friendships (especially between opposite genders) are significantly rarer in these kinds of stories and deserve to be explored more.
