I made a storyboard of how I thought Ezra and Sabine would react to meeting up front hr first time. I used a few scenes from the original because why not!

This is how I realistically envisioned how Ezra and Sabine’s reuniting scene to go down. Not to bash the other one but I think mine is how almost everyone would expect it to have been like.. More emotional

I honestly thought Sabine should’ve been SOBBING when she saw Ezra. She’s been missing him for 10 years! Instead it was just a small smile, some witty banter, and a hug.
Shoulda been more like this. 👍

As a single man, I greatly feel for those two. All my life, all was my family and friends, yeah, they always stood by me. But, yet, when it comes to my love life, it was basically.... Zero. Seeing those two together, it's Normally I'm not a fan of romance stuff, but It's something Something that shows real comfort, emotion and real rather than something by the numbers or cliche. Their devotion goes beyond that, I never had that with another woman, I had a couple of crushes, but hardly any dioulogue to even be all barely even for a second. I just never got my chance. And this time, it's just even harder to find the right person (especially in politics or even standing for something morally questionable), hoping what they stand for is something good, something mutual, something I could trust, something meaningful and not just physical, not anymore, real human connection with someone you could never bring yourself to leave. Seeing those two gave me a sense of hope that not only that it's possible, but showed me what real love is about. I never understood that. But, now I do. And it shouldn't be something anyone should throw away. Otherwise, you might live to regret it. I hope they reunite again and this time, they give it a chance.

This makes me so upset. This is how their reunion should have gone 😢 Their reunion was so lacking of emotion. I hope it's not too late for the producers to change their minds and give the people what they want. They've had so much chemistry for so long and they just fizzled it out and made it so stale. When I heard that this show was gonna come out I was so hoping for a warm heartfelt reunion and them to FINALLY GET TOGETHER. We need more people to make noise so Dave understands that his decision to keep them as friends isn't a daring and refreshing choice, but a stupid one that's enrageing and disappointing fans. 😔

Honestly, the way they reunited in the show is so anticlimactic. They haven't seen each other in like 10 years. They were practically raised together and had a close bond being the youngest members of the crew. Where's the running up to meet each other? Where's the hugging and crying to the point where they don't even want to let go? The same goes with Hera. There it's even worse. They don't even show any hug or anything. I mean, Hera was practically Ezra's mother, raising him through his formative teen years. There should've been a much stronger, more emotional reuniting. Really disappointing.

it is exactly as I had hoped that their reunion will be with SO MUCH Sabine longed to find Ezra, a bit like Hermione running to Harry at the end of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

Man, we got absolutely robbed here. I understand Dave's reasoning for not wanting Ezra and Sabine to end up together, but c'mon dude. This isn't some kind of crazy idea that fans made up, YOU WROTE THEM TO BE LIKE THIS!! Honestly, Ezra and Sabine had more chemistry in Rebels than Hera and Kanan did. And with the comparisons between Ezra and Anakin, it would've been nice to see a genuine young romance that DIDN'T end in the death of Younglings. But even IF they had a purely platonic relationship (Which I still don't believe because who the heck stays on a planet for years for their FRIEND?!) there's still the issue of their reunion having ZERO emotion! Like, Dave, have you EVER reunited with a friend or family member after years apart? Even if you haven't, just watch videos of returning veterans FFS!! Not everyone in those videos are lovers, most are family and friends, but they ALL are crying, screaming with joy, hugging, etc. Yet Sabine sees her brother/lover and is just like "Sup?" and that's IT?!!! C'mon Dave.

Side Note: I wonder if there was pressure from Disney to keep Ezra and Sabine at arms length. There seems to be this idea in Hollywood that a girl that enters a relationship instantly loses her agency, and that's just ridiculous. Love makes us STRONGER, not weaker. Yet, it feels at times that Disney doesn't believe that girls can be in love AND strong.

I am not of the opinion that all male-female relationships should be romantic but I feel that not doing it in this case was a mistake. The hints were glaringly obvious in Rebels. I hope they explain this away as nervousness on the part of Ezra or something and make the two more romantically inclined.

I believe this wouldve been very different if Sabine didnt get here by giving the map to Baylan. The guilt, shame, no hope in freeing Ezra but just being stranded here with him, self disappointment, sense of selfishness and failure, and avoidance in confronting all of this to him knowing she wasnt reliable in that respect after all. It really shouldve been a failure and represents a "fall" in Sabine like Anakin's fall, but thankfully Ahsoka was there. Also a sense of being undeserving. And Ezra having a severely more intimate place in her heart that is different even from their last moments together in Rebels, Sabine being closed off in general and is never the type to just confess or bring all facts and feelings to the surface.... for all these reasons, Im satisfied with the reunion and think the true ending they both are destined for lies in the horizon. But they are both selfless and with everything going on, theyll value the other person being safe more, that is true love.

Sabine suddenly using the force was the worst part of Ahsoka. I do wish their reunion had more feeling but Sabine has never been particularly emotive.
