I owned a Tiguan for three years. Great car, no problems. The biggest drawback of the car is the engine. It`s really really bad with below average fuel economy. Low output and turbo lag for days. And it sounds like a diesel. If VW would put the GTI engine in this thing and charge 4 K more, i`d gladly pay it.

Thank God they finally added the option for ventilated front seats 🙌🏽🙌🏽

Severely underpowered. 4Motion is okay and almost always works well in day to day driving. It’s the little things where VW fails. Heated steering?....not unless you buy SEL or above! Auto hatch door?....not unless you buy SEL or above. Fog
I owned a 2020 for 10 months. I drove it less than 1200 miles. I could not MAKE myself drive it. I sold it for a loss. I just felt it was so lacking.
NEVER AGAIN! VW Mexico is not VW 🇩🇪 Germany. Why do all the car companies let Europe have the cool exteriors and horsepower? Makes me sick!

For all of you crying for 300+ horsepower or an R-type - buy an Audi...that's what they're for. This is a family hauler, not a sports car. The horsepower is adequate, and the torque at 221 lb ft is more important anyway.

Highly disappointed, if your putting an R badge on the vehicle, where is the 300hp motor?

R-)line should have the GTI 2.0 engine. 255hp.

You said it’s coming Fall 2022? Sounds and looks like it’d be out this fall?

Tiguan, a peculiar name coined from tiger and leguan (German word of iguana). Said name was elected by some 350, 000 readers of Germany's Auto Bild magazine. VW Tiguan debuted at the 2007 Los Angeles International Auto Show held last month.

You don't need to wait for the fuel economy report to come out, just make your own numbers up. That's what Volkswagen do I believe.

It’s a shame they didn’t upgrade the engine- R line needs 250 hp

Haptic controls are terrible. Real buttons are always better.

184 hp? Germans are mocking us. Their Tiguan has lots more torque and hp.
No thank you very much.

Looks nice, just not the biggest fan of the touch controls, and the 181 HP seems a little low for an R Line SUV. I was expecting 200+ HP.

I’m a five time owner of Vw’s and had a ‘18 tiguan. It was great in every way except for power. Give us some f’n power VW! I won’t buy this for that reason alone.

As a current 2018 Tiguan owner, I wish they put the 2.0T engine from the Atlas in there. For some reason the one in the Tiguan has a ton of turbo lag.
