How about we also change the connectors to something faster/more heat resistant in the process? It can’t be that hard to ship an adapter for all of the things that don’t have that. The current molex connectors really aren’t very space and plastic efficient as well. They say lightning is outdated while using a connector from the 50s (not saying lightning isn’t outdated, it is, molex is just WAY more outdated)

I NEED THIS. I'm doing my best to hide my cables already. Only 2 left, GPU and motherboard power cables. The rest is decently hidden.

I think it looks cooler seeing both the circuitry and wires than it would without them. Only time they're a hassle is cleaning out dust.

The change was easy to be done
Same thing with the Shield Io for gpu beign attched on the Pcb and not the dissipator...
We would not have the bending gpu problem...
Also, with the prices on the 40 séries, the fact that they still come with heatsink and not aio IS Crazy to me

Only problem I see with that is needing to make sure you case is compatible with that type of MB. Not only having cutouts in the correct location but also having enough space to have cables clip in through the back.

MSI also is doing this and they even have a case the can accommodate both

There are literally hundreds of cases now for these...no excuses not to ditch those janky cables finally.

If they do, do that feels a majority of cases will be absolute and will be forced to be rebuild for it

the other thing a few are starting to do is simply put most all of the connectors on one side of the motherboard to make it look cleaner as well.
