You've done a great service to us out here to distill the essence of these great works down to these valuable tidbits for us.

Sounds like i'm the same as the underground man. Maybe it's time to read some Dostoevsky 😂

The most relatable novel I have ever read.

Notes from Underground was the first book we had to read in my Russian literature class in university. Very introspective book, not a lot of action. I feel like I have a kind of similar style when I write, it's hard to actually get the plot moving and I spend a lot of time just pontificating about philosophy.

I don’t feel powerless in this way, but rather, I very NEARLY do. There are key obstacles in my life that can be changed, but only with extreme patience and determination. Thing is, I have a lazy streak that’s all the more tempting, at least getting me to waist time resting too long before my efforts. I’m way behind on everything I should have accomplished by now. I am not powerless YET, but worry that I may grow too old to finish, that I may become powerless.

i think somewhere in this universe dostoevsky completes this universe psychologically, but if you want to go further ahead you must read The RED BOOK by carl jung and you'll realise that you've solved the puzzle almost after that your final read must be "DHAMMAPADA" by BUDDHA and "THE INITIATES OF GOD"

This book is about me. It's a tragedy but I wouldn't read my story any other way.

And thus he envied the stupid and impulsive of man, for they act without thinking, therefore can’t they don’t suffer from the reflection of their actions or non actions,

For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate. - St Paul, 1st Century. This is the universal human experience, unless one totally gives themselves over to wickedness and loves evil. The answer to this problem is in the power of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit to help us, or at least so says the first great psychoanalyst to articulate the problem clearly, that is, St Paul. My experience indicates that he is correct. Only frequent partaking of the sacraments, grace, and no longer living a lukewarm life in relation to God was somehow able to save me from all my vices, blindness, cruelty, porn addiction, pride, social awkwardness, cowardice, stupidity, etc. God can save all of us if we turn to Him with a whole and dedicated heart and do not turn away when we encounter tests and trials. Turn to the one who loves you and is the source of all the universe, including you, and be saved. Glory be to Jesus Christ, and pray a decade of the rosary! That’s how I started, just going through the motions and that’s all. Thanks be to God.
