Creamy Cajun Chicken Pasta is the perfect family meal. Juicy cajun-spiced chicken is served over a bed of creamy linguine that’s packed full of sautéed veggies.

✅Ingredients

• 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
• 6 teaspoons cajun seasoning, divided
• 6 tablespoons butter, divided
• 1 pound linguine
• 3 bell peppers, various colors, sliced
• 1 red onion, sliced
• 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
• 2 cups heavy cream

✅Instructions

1️⃣ Rub each chicken breast with 1 teaspoon of cajun seasoning. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add in 3 tablespoons of butter. Sear the chicken breasts in the butter until browned on each side. Reduce the heat to medium-low and continue to cook until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F which will take about 5-7 minutes per side, depending on thickness. Remove the chicken and set aside to rest.

2️⃣ Cook pasta according to package directions.

3️⃣ In the same skillet as you cooked the chicken, without cleaning, melt the remaining 3 tablespoons of butter. Add in bell peppers, onion, and mushroom. Sauté until veggies are tender. Sprinkle remaining 2 teaspoons of cajun seasoning over veggies and cook 1 minute.

4️⃣ Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Simmer until sauce thickens.

5️⃣ Stir in cooked pasta and toss until coated and veggies are evenly distributed. Slice chicken breasts and serve over hot pasta.

😍Yum!  Love Creamy Cajun Chicken Pasta! For anyone who is not a fan of all the heavy cream, instead you can make the sauce with 2 cups of low sodium chicken stock, 1/2 cup of white wine, and 1 cup of whole milk--and the taste is absolutely amazing!!

I made this last night and it was delicious! My first recipe of hers that I have tried. I was pleasantly surprised how moist the chicken was. I appreciated her tips and ideas of making the chicken ahead of time. I like prepping when things are quieter so I can get dinner made faster when I’m rushed for time in the evenings. I also took her idea of using less chicken and more veggies and thought it was great. Even with 3 chicken breasts it still felt like plenty of chicken. I thinly sliced the chicken then mixed it in to keep it from drying out. I made her Cajun seasoning and thought it was great. I added 2 tsp of the seasoning to the veggies since my kids are picky about that and added extra to the adult plates which worked out great. It was my first time making Cajun and it was fun to try! Thank you stay at home chef! I’ll be back for more recipes

We made this last night and it was the bomb!!! Okay e only used yellow pepper for the veggie and I used 1/2 lb. chicken breast and 1/2 chicken thighs. It was excellent! This recipe is a definite keeper! Thank you for this video!

My recipe is nearly identical but I add a couple cans of crushed tomatoes and some large shrimp. Probably my favorite pasta dish.
