The DMZ is the area of the network where you place your Internet services such as E-mail sever, FTP server, or Web server that you want available for the public to access. Typically a DMZ is placed between the public (Internet) and protected zones (private network).

if the hackers try to gain access of web server then it is possible that it may have bypassed the firewall, so hacker can easily gain access to LAN right by Bypassing the Firewall?

When i activate my dmz my Internet Slows down is that always like that

It's funny, I worked at a company years ago and their servers worked like a DMZ. An IT guy told me that it was for corporate protection... I said yeah right, like I'm going to steal or exploit corporate internal workings of a shipping we only dealt with every day electronic parts, nothing to hide....
