Reading MPH Personal Statement UC Berkeley

Applying to grad school? I read a Personal Statement from a student admitted to Yale, UC Berkeley, UCLA, UC Irvine, UNC Chapel Hill, and Emory for a Master's of Public Health. They were also awarded many scholarships including the top full-ride scholarship at Emory Rollins School of Public Health. I go over what makes this a good grad school essay and common mistakes I see when reading graduate school essays.

How important is it to reference specific modules offered by the program in the SOP and what I am expecting to get out of them? I see this applicant briefly touched on what they would learn in a very general way in the conclusion.

Lauren thank you for these insightful videos. I am, however, a little worried about not having a relevant CV to produce, I want to continue in the Humanities, specifically Art History, but do not have the research or the background to prove it. I graduated undergraduate with a 3.5 and have done stellar in my Art History classes.
