No surprise that this would happen. I'm actually surprised that it took a whole month. I saw the original interview when it first aired. My initial reaction was a little shock that Mario Lopez would be on the Candace Owens show, since so much controversy follows her. As soon as I heard them talking about this on the show, I was like "ohhh shit, they're gonna go after him for slightly speaking out against it." Why? Because if you speak in any way that shows opposition, you're automatically labelled a word with IST at the end of it. Unfortunately, this is how our current social climate functions. I just hope the 2020's are better about this. Because you should be able to have differing ideas without being attacked, as long as you discuss them intelligently (which he did) and you're not committing heinous crimes against humanity.

This kinda reminds me of the Aziz Ansari situation. The man didn't say anything bad and I get the impression that he called it "dangerous" because, as he later explains, later on in life your kid may be confused because the parent decided to go with what the child claims to be feeling, in that moment. If you don't know children, their moods are unstable, but not in a bad manner. At the end of the day, I KNOW we've all heard worse shit and this wasn't it. Love to everyone.

What's dangerous is the fact he apologized for his comment. I understand the apology comes from fear. Still, what he said was his opinion. His statement doesn't harm anyone. And it's my opinion that he was right to begin with.
