Hi for anyone asking how this headache feels here it is. I am 22 years old, with BMI of 28, the healthy BMI is 25 or below. So I am overweight. I had this bad headache above the eye, and the headache was intermittent, go away with applying a balm or taking rest, but when it was there it was severe. The headache is above eyes and below the eyebrows. So if u have a headache in this area then it is hypertension headache. It is medically called IIH. It can be detected by an ophthalmologist, as it increased pressure affects the optic nerve. Please don't ignore it as it can lead to blindness/strokes if left untreated. And the best way to make it go is lose weight and reach a healthy BMI. The best part about it is it is reversible, so once u lose weight it won't be coming back. Now I am on medication, and am losing weight and it has lessened. Hope it helps😃

A similar type of headache affected my mother for about 20 days on and off and then finally led to hydrocephalus (accumulation of spinal fluid in the brain and high pressure in the brain) and led to death, because a colloidal cyst was blocking the flow of the fluid. Anyone who experiences this kind of headache, my humble request - never ignore and consult 1 or 2 GOOD and REPUTED doctors and take a brain imaging scan like CT or MRI.. it can save lives.. thanks for the informativr content Dr. Pal. 🙏🙏
