Spillover effects of Ukraine crisis being felt around globe

Western countries have chosen the wrong solutions to the Russia-Ukraine crisis through supplying arms and applying sanctions, with the economic shockwaves being felt in countries around the whole world, a Zambian expert has said. Alex Ngoma, a political scientist in Zambia, said instead of promoting a peaceful settlement to the conflict, the United States and its Western allies have continuously sent weapons to Ukraine, worsening the situation. He also thinks the sanctions against Russia will ultimately prove harmful to the wider world, particularly given Russia’s prevalence in the gas supply market.
