It is a shame that reasonable thoughts like Mearsheimer's analysis can not appear in western media. Mearsheimer is right that for Russia this is a fight which is existential. And he is correct that we are in a lot of trouble because no one can afford to lose. So, why not negotiate?

His analysis is always faultless, and I believe him wholeheartedly when he says he is an avid reader and prepares himself thoroughly in readiness for an interview or a debate. Thanks you for having Prof. Mearsheimer on - he should be heard more. I heard on another interview of his that NEVER once, in his decades of US scholarship in geopolitics, had the US government EVER asked his opinion - not once! Apparently, the US MIC doesnt want to hear this!
