honestly once you get older, a lot of people don't bother with 'cues' anymore. I just outright say 'i like you and want to get to know you better'. If they dont feel that way, i know to change the energy I am putting into the acquaintance. It's so much easier and freeing to just communicate in a healthy straightforward way. Even rejection isn't that bad anymore. It's sort of a 'oh okay, well darn' then I move on. I'd rather not waste time and just figure it out rather than draw things out and find out it wasnt what they intended or wanted.

I’ve had this girl like me back for a while but I got scared and shut myself off from pretty much everyone.
