The new 2023 Lexus RZ 450e is here with 200 miles of range, a yoke looking steering wheel and sharp styling. Is that enough to swap buyers or is the range a big problem?

It was a sunny day, and I was driving my belovet Lexus to the beach. As I tried to signal a turn, my blinkers suddenly stopped working! I popped the hood and found the culprit - my blinker fluid had expired, and my car had blown a fuse. Who knew blinker fluid had an expiration date?

This is a minor item but it appears that the font in the Lexus UX is the same font as the Toyota UX. It reminds me of the Cadillacs that reused the buttons from the rest of the GM family so the same button in a Chevy Cavalier would show up in a Caddy.

Jill, I can't tell if that vehicle is big or if it just looks big when you're standing next to it😄. It looks amazing! Thanks for showing it to us.👍

If they can't match the mileage of an ice car on a tank of fuel with a full charge they need to just give it up, electric is useless.

Jill great review my wife has been waiting for this review. She felt like TFL did a poor presentation liked your presentation better but the interior looks old not up-to-date.Thanks Jill

Jill, the adorable smurf from Chicago. A couple (12) points. I can totally relate to the car, I do not have a girl either. The side profile looks like an origami swan went through the wash. Too many angles, looks like my car after my ex parks at Mall Of America. New creases everywhere. On the interior, the dash and info center make me this that the car is going to say "I am sorry Dave, I can not do that". Are the umbrellas in the back pouch standard 😎I am so sweet that I melt in the rain. Love the radiant heat in the foot well. (if I place a Cracker Barrel Cheesy Potato to-go container against the underside of the dash, will it be warm after 200 miles?) If I pull back on the trapezoidal none yoke device, with the car take off?🛩🛩 My plane does, and that would just mess me up. Last question -- do you have to stop the car to engage the self-park feature? .
God Bless you Jill and your entire family.🛐

I won't be interested in all electric vehicles until they can go 400-500 miles on a charge. I'll stick with hybrids for now.

Definitely intrigued by the yoke, but don’t think it’s for me. I also see some issues when driving in adverse conditions. I imagine it’s probably a bit easier to overcorrect and have issues when if hydroplaning and having sudden traction again or through black ice or snow. Maybe with enough learned behavior it won’t be an issue but might be a steep learning curve until more vehicles have this type of setup.

Jill, did you get a chance to drive one in the rain? Just wondering how the 'self clearing rear window' did.

Look at the size of that front grill. Is that functional or is it just a big huge decoration?

Intriguing steering wheel, had one like that on a go kart.

Yeah advanced park took a long time, but for the typical Lexus clientele who is older it’s probably a decent solution. Lord knows I’ve seen elderly people take just as long if not longer and end up with a terrible end result anyway. This would at least solve one of those aspects.

Is it a quiet car? Really?
27:22 If you use the same mic setting, it is a horrible .
Compared to the GV70 EV video you recently uploaded, this video is very noisy.

Who's gonna shell out that much for a Lexus with 200 miles of range? Most people would rather have Chevy Bolt.

I hear Wyoming is banning the sales of EVs

Remember its a skinned bz4x awd with more weight….sooo many better choices then buying from Mr Toyoda, who hates ev’s anyway

Front end looks miserable, sad. I never buy a vehicle that's unhappy with itself.

Lexus is very far behind the competition in the EV space. They will sell very few of these imo. Its a shame that Toyota has squandered their lead in electric drivetrains and is now years behind. Frankly, You would have to be an idiot to buy this. Sorry, but it's true. Get to work Toyota and stop ripping off grandmothers in the usa. Run Grammy, run.
