This approach is an abundance of caution. Really if you have a flint spear, leather armor, and any three foods, you'll be fine.

so, we made a watch tower and the boss doesnt bother attacking us, it doesnt seem to understand a closed in building and can only get 1 electric circle blast off, (2 if solo) on the watch tower when it path finds the correct way, we fought him a second time without the watchtower because we were disappointed XD

With an axe upgraded slightly, and a small shield, he's actually pretty easy to fight face to face. You can parry the horn and aoe attacks and just step to his side for the lightning blast. The timings didn't take me long to learn, but that may be as a vet of games with parry systems.

I had a lot of success my first couple Eikthyr kills also using a bow, but I just kited him around the menhirs/big rocks around the summoning circle. He will try to close to melee and is easy enough to avoid, just keep an eye out for when he telegraphs his area lightning attacks (one narrow beam, one wide cone/bubble). GLHF!

Here's how I easily killed him. At the summoning circle, I picked the largest menhir, went behind it, and and dug a pit straight down. (With 100% stamina, you can hop out by pressing jump and forward.) I summon, hit him with one fire arrow to get his attention, then jump in the pit. He'll come over and but none of his attacks can hit you, they harmlessly go off over your head. While he's standing over the pit, plug him with arrows. You can use regular wood arrows if you don't want to waste fire or flint arrows. He may fall into the pit with you, which is a good thing. Jump out, and keep plugging him. He can't get out of the pit. Takes a few minutes to complete and can be done over and over, as long as you have deer trophies and arrows. For extra damage, build campfires around the pit.

If you’ve reached the point where you have Fire Arrows. They worked great for me and lit the boss literally on Fire 🔥 while it’s charged up with lightning. I saved all of mines just for the boss. Too valuable to use on anything else up to that point. If not use Flint Arrows.

yo i beat him with no armor and just an axe on my first try. All had was boxers lol. he has 3 attacks. let him charge at you and dodge then hit. just understand the sequence of his attacks. its pretty easy.

Hi there...
Just started this game and I accidentaly summoned this boss too early in my game. I am too weak to kill it. It keeps killing me in a minute after I resurect...
Can't do anything realy.
So, how does it stop hunting me????
The gane is unplayable this way if it keeps coming after me...

You can just right click on the food to eat it instead of putting it on your bar.

ok im pretty much all set to kill him but i press 8 and stand on the stone bench and nothing happens? why? what am i doing wrong....

First boss was actually really easy I messed up and still got him

Thanks for this ive had this game on xbox series 6 months now and i cannot for the life of me beat this first boss, , so i cannot progress through the game, , is there any cheats

I was able to make a trap for him and shoot him till he died. Trapped him and shot with fire arrows till he died, super easy. Using the trees for cover is not a bad idea, but there is no easier way than trapping the boss, they are literally sitting in the water, and if you do it right you shoot them from a distance with no risk of damage and don't have to run.

You can just melee him. He doesnt do enough damage to break a Block.

All honestly its easier with a shield, flint axe, and the armor
