Check out Ritchie explaining what drove him to play the guitar from an early age. It just drives home the message that we have to thank our teachers!

Ritchie is a great great storyteller. It is a delight to listen to him when he reminisce. A great guy.👍

😍😊 Bravo Mr Blackmoore 👋👋🖤🎩⚡🎼🎸🎙️ Long live Rock n Roll 🎸⚡🖤🎩🤟

Ritchie was talking about HIS FATHER in another recent clip. interesting was exactly WHEN Guitar Players Fathers realized - 'Hey, My Child can REALLY PLAY WELL, BETTER THAN I EVER IMAGINED....WOW' think the parental 'WOW' moment might have come for Ritchie's Father in 1969 when his Son was doing the Concerto for Group & Orchestra thing (Which Ritchie found a distraction from the IN ROCK stuff which was his cutting edge) BRIAN MAY'S Father (Who designed his guitar) it came when Queen played Madison Square Garden in the late 1970s ...Because at First Brian's Dad thought his son was throwing away a career in Astrophysics by going the Musician EDDIE VAN HALEN it came when VH were Signed & VH1 came out & because Ed's Father JAN was a Jazz Clarinet & Sax player his Dad would Cry tears of Joy at the gigs of the band that bore his name. 😊

Funny, most people would say Buddy Holly looked "fuddy duddy".

Never do anything for the affirmation of other people, that shows low self esteem, impressing chicks by doing music is different however, not everyone is academically gifted, tbf, most of the really good musicians I know are good at music, almost in an autism way, they can just hear and play, dont need to think about it, really clever people are envious of that and the chicks dig it, so dont worry if you aren't too clever, just play guitar like mr Blackmore and you will do ok.

There's a Richie clip him talking about the local guitar talent before they got famous. Clapton, Page, Beck, Ron W9od Jank Marvin we're all from like the same area . Something in the water no doubt.

Back in the day, Richie had a attitude some would say. You know MOODY AF, seems to be enjoying telling stories and having a beverage. Good stuff
