Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty on Gov. Tim Walz being Kamala Harris' VP pick

Former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty, a Republican, joined CBS News to talk about Kamala Harris' selection of the current Minnesota governor, Tim Walz, as her running mate. "I know him, I've done a bunch of stuff with him over the years. I like him," Pawlenty said about Walz, "My only problem with him is policy views."

Oh, lordy, I haven't had to think about Pawlenty since my kids were little and he was in the Minnesota Governor's office smashing the Minnesota Miracle school funding structure. A whole lot of work to repair Minnesota had to be done after this ****, was removed from the Governor's office.

Walz is a moderate and he represents a state that is in fact mostly republican, the reason MN always votes Democrat is because of Minneapolis having the most population and more Democrats than the rest of the state. I live in MN and I am not a Democrat. He is not far left even though he has some views on the far left, he also has views on the other side at least he tries to work with people on both sides. He also has a non politician likability to him out in public. He is really just a regular person who decided to be in politics. And lots of people don’t think Harris is likeable. I find her horrible and tedious to listen to.

Thank you Tim for showing true class and representing the Republicans the way they should be. Giving praise for Waltz for being a good candidate even though your political views may differ. Saying Trumps attacks are not ok, and showing you can be a republican with your political views yet still be respectful to your opponents. As a democrat those are the types of republicans we need. Ones that if they win, you may not agree with their policies but you are not in fear of them destroying the country like we are with Trump
