If you notice, Challe does not hug Bridget at all. He kinda just holds her there in a position that portrays his anger while also keeping his eyes in an even stare the whole time. However for Anne, he hugs her with all of his might and even buries his head in her shoulder. That's true love right there ❤️

a little context:

this is a world where fairies are treated as slaves or pets by human. our FL (lady in pony tails) doesn't want to treat fairy that way and manage to befriend a warrior fairy (ML, long dark haired guy). during a competition, FL is sabotaged but don't have a any proof other than the purple lady as a witness. however she refused to cooperate as long ML won't come with her (read: to be her pet fairy bcs she loves his beauty). Because ML knows how important the competition for FL's future, basically no win equals dark future, he sacrifices his wing to purple lady. a wing is life of a fairy so it also symbolize ownership for the carrier

honestly the fact the the blond villainess thought that forcing him to love her instead of moving on from rejection just proves how spoiled she was and shows that her parents never said no to her also how much ego she has to feed, it also shows the she is aware of her position . He litteraly told her, u only think of me as a slave and that is the only reason y it's easy for u to confess and force her feelings on him, instead showing a basic human decency and looking at him equal and with respect. Bro basically face planted the difference between her and the heroin I think the only reason y she was soo desprate was because she got rejected by this one person someone said no to her and she doesn't even know how to handle the rejection. It pisses me off the fact she knows that she going to hurt herself in this process also at the same time she will hurt the other 2 people.

I have never seen this anime or heard of this in my life but this scene really explained everything and I feel like crying. For never seeing this, it’s easy to know who he truly likes. The empty kiss had to feel…..hollow. I’ve never been kissed before, but I have been hugged.

When I hug my mom or my close friends, it feels warm, comforting, and just feels like and right. I could hug them all day and feel happy.

When I have to hug people like my cousins or anything, the hug is always so awkward, hollow, and empty.

That’s what I think a kiss would do too, you have to have a good connection to someone or good chemistry to have a hug or kiss feel right.

Then again, I’ve never kissed anyone, this is just what I thought it would be like
