What Does a Finance Intern Do?

In this video, I share my personal experiences from finance internships, offering both challenging and rewarding narratives to help those new to or considering a career in finance. I start by recounting my less-than-ideal initial internship in the Dealing division of a retail bank.

Despite the lack of engaging tasks, I took it upon myself to learn how to use the Bloomberg terminal, which later became a significant asset to my skill set and enhanced my resume.

I contrast this experience with a later internship in Mergers and Acquisitions, where I was fully integrated into the team, received comprehensive training, and actively participated in significant projects, including preliminary valuation work for a potential M&A transaction.

This experience not only honed my practical skills but also emphasized the importance of being well-prepared and proactive.
