MSFS 2020 vs X-Plane 12 vs Real Life! Landing in Geneva

Good day! This time we will land in the Geneva airport and compare X-Plane 12, MSFS, and real life! We'll look at the sunset, while, as always, discussing graphics. I still have videos from Tbilisi, Istanbul, Berlin, and Lyon, so write which one would you watch!

I don't think MSFS is maxed out in the video, it still needs an insanely huge machine. Also, it's hard to keep up with the many updates, mods, and improvements they are pumping into the game.

Either you have MSFS zoomed in or you have the detail low, my MSFS has never looked that bad (see 2:50). Is that a fair comment or am I missing something.
(Ah just seen you comment half way through, medium setting - right. It makes a difference in MSFS using 400 LOD and Ultra settings, I do have a 4090 though 😃)

XPLANE HAS already data streaming, is called autoortho, and works pretty well.

I've loved MSFS/FSX and X-Plane for years. Played exlusively X-Plane before MSFS came out. X-Plane has much better default airports thanks to a more mature scenery gateway system, in MSFS is very limited and the assets are not so good. Looking forward to MSFS 2024 which should re-address the balance here but the scenery gateway will need to run for a few years before it catches up. MSFS 2024 is looking spectacular with the promise of creating a fully 3D landscape, I.e. every texture will have a procedurally generated biome and objects, it will be incredible to fly over.

I flew outt of Great Bend National Park yesterday and preferred xplane to MSFS. I thought it looked more realistic. I both have strengths amd weaknesses. Really, its a toss up.

MSFS 2020 is not FAA Certificated...X-Plane 12 is FAA Certificated...Then ...You can Play ...or you can FLIGHT...😊
