As a rule of thumb I usually don’t trust people who sell classes.

I started detailing in 2008 I was 22 I used customers water and power I provided everything else. I did that for a few years. Now I just detail out of my garage and do drop offs. I work alone as I help my bro do real estate I detail on the side now from being full time. I started out of the house as a newbie, anyone can do it, but you can’t be lazy

I purchased the course and some of the tutorials do NOT even pop up in the training. Very upset about this since I paid $400

I’ve created a detailing business to 6-figures since May! After watching that episode! 39x 5-star reviews. Electric Mobile Detailing. I pay 100% commission to my detailers.

I had an auto detailing business back 20 years ago. It is so much easier of a business to do now. The amount of tools and products that are on the market for proprietary jobs and take the elbow grease out of the task of cleaning is out of this world. I am very happy for the auto detailing industry today. You guys are very lucky.

Your numbers aren't adding up. If your margins are 60%, that means 18 employees AND all overhead expenses shared the remaining 40% (30k). If you had no expenses and split that 30k between employees, That's less than 1700 each for an entire month. But you do have expenses such as vehicle maintenance, fuel, cleaning supplies etc. So either you pay your employees peanuts or your margins are more like 20%. OR you don't have nearly as many employees as you say and the 75k revenue number for that month is an outright lie.

someone break this to me please.
he made 75k last month and there is 60% profit after labor and material. before that he mentioned detailer make 1500 to 2500 biweekly. he has 18 employee, 4k a month averagely which means 72k only for labor . how come he has 60%

as an aspirant entrepreneur in the startup world its so inspiring to see the brick-and-mortar business pick up and be successful. I can think that some thinking and business tactics can be replicated online or you can mix and match stuff. one word.. inspiring now going back to focus mode.

Hey Paul, you are a good interviewer! Thanks for asking valuable questions, giving time for full responses, and NOT saying "Tell us about..." at the front of every question like so many (even network!) interviewers do. Thank you, Alan, for your generosity in sharing so much information, too.

Does he make 900, 000 a year, or does he have 900, 000 a year in sales? Because your thumbnail says he makes 900, 000 a year.
There's a massive difference.

ONR has its place for a light detail like that but i wouldnt use that on neglected cars...its not tough enough at that point....besides that im really impressed with this guy and his business ethics and knowhow....$75k on his best month with 60% profit margin is amazing...he is very motivated

I know I've been lurking for a while now but as always I enjoy your videos. Him being a tad bit older than me just motives me to do a lot more throughout the day. He's such a big entrepreneurial-oriented person. I like his mindset and how he manages his business. Way to go to him.
This video was spectacular and super insightful. Definitely one of the best you've ever put out.
I think I just had a pretty solid idea on how he could improve his business. He said he updates his clients pretty frequently by calling them. Why not just make an app that shows where their cars are at, if they're being washed, how much longer they should wait till they get their cars back and all that. What do you guys think about it? It would be way may more efficient, much more user-friendly and less time-consuming.
He should also start a YouTube channel as well. It would be such a money maker for sure.
Something else I've been thinking about is how you guys can improve this channel and make a little bit more money with it. Have you ever considered the idea of making a course on how to start from the ground up, how to start any business, not just a specific one. Me being 19 years old and still not going to college doesn't help me a lot. I would love to start a business of mine but I know for a fact I would be better off working on site and then kind of grow from there. Any tips on how to get started? I have ideas, but I'm afraid to implement them.
With that being said, have a nice day guys and keep this channel on fire, because it has helped me shift my mindset so much.

Woah there, young skipper. $75k per month (on the high end, so not a conservative estimate) - 60% profit = $30k for materials, equipment and labor, including $3.5k for marketing. Is the commission not included in the total? Something is not right using the numbers you gave for paying your people ($1500-2500 every two weeks from commission and tips, no hourly). $30k split between 18 people is less than $2k PER MONTH.... So either your people must be racking in the tips, you don't really know or didn't say the true numbers, or your business is hemorrhaging money...

‘It’s a tight labor market’ this has been said since the 1800’s. Nobody wants to work for slave wages it’s as simple as that. These days people understand how valuable time is
