Tutorial: Convert System Exclusive to Control Change using Bome MIDI Translator Pro

This tutorial will show you how you can convert an incoming Sysex (System Exclusive) MIDI message to a CC (controller) outgoing message. In this example, there is also a parameter value that changes. We use the incoming pattern with a variable. The pattern and the variable together determine the exact MIDI output message.

great stuff! what do i do if i dont know the sysex, but i see midi incoming when i move a knob or slider? is there a learn function?

Thanks for the video. My case scenario is that I've got a MIDI Controller (BCR2000) that I'm replicating virtually (with open-stage-control a program that allows you to create your custom device which you can use with Android touchpad). So I got all the CC's and everything setted up and it works great, but at some point (when doing some changes in the DAW) it looks like the device doesn't update its values properly, and looking again into the real hardware I can see that sometimes it receives sysex mesages from the DAW. I would like to set a function in order to translate them if it would be translatable, but I don't know if there is such a guide.

Thanks. I have stored a number of preset for the guitar pedal ENZO (from Meris) in SysEx librarian. I would like to extract MIDI CC information from the SysEx code in order to program the same patches in a MC6 MIDI controller that uses CCs to control the pedal. (This is because it is very cumbersome to have the computer plugged in to the pedal board all the time to send sysyex to the pedal. Much easier to press a footswitch on the MC6 to do the same). 

Anyway, this is for example how one of the presets looks like in Sysex:

My question is whether Bome MIDI translator can help me find out which control changes correspond to this Sysex so that I can program those in the MIDI controller.
