So if Russia puts troops and missiles in Cuba we will have nothing to say about it right cuz that's the same thing we're doing now in Ukraine

They said "open door" not "will accept", Ukraine's constitution says they want to join NATO, the request is made by Ukraine clear and loud, a true ally will accept Ukraine already, but instead they say "open door"...it is the same for me when applying for a job, it is an "open door" for me to apply for the CEO of Google, but in terms of accepting me or not, again, it is an "open door"

"The disease fear is wearing off."
"Quick! We need a new fear!!"
“A different disease fear?”
“Not good enough. They have caught on to what we are doing. We need something big!”
"How about war with Russia?"
That sounds good! Let's do it!!"

The NATO pact in 2021 has 30 member countries who asked to join the alliance and had to be voted on by the members to join. At the height of the “Cold War” the Warsaw pact had 8 members who were forced to join by the former USSR; now Russia fights alone. The very reason the former members of the USSR, who are now independent countries, ask to join the NATO alliance is being shown by Russia by their belligerence and aggression against an independent country. If Russia wanted to defuse the Ukrainian Russian separatist conflict in Ukraine, they could allow the ethnic Ukrainian Russians to move back into Russia if they don‘t want to live under Ukrainian rule. Russia has more then enough land in their country and doesn’t need to take lands from Ukraine. Democratic countries have a right to chose and not have a dictatorial country ban them from choosing who they wish to associate with.

The Ukrainians have the right to self determination. This is what America used to fight for back in the day and baby we are living.

Germany will inadvertently start world war three just by trying to stay out of this situation and play it safe.

"WAR is a Racket. It always has been. It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives." - USMC Major General Smedley Butler (1935)

Of course the Russians’ demands were rejected - they were tantamount to surrender! I don’t believe that even the Russians thought those terms would have been taken seriously…

A possible diplomatic solution would be a treaty between Russia & NATO that would require both to keep offensive weapons far from Russia's borders. This would prevent both sides from suddenly invading the other. It would solve the problem that Putin says he's concerned about: NATO military expansion to Russian borders. It would also reduce readiness for war and increase stability.
