I am from New York now currently living in California and I was at the game against the Padres when David Wright made that barehanded play in Shallow left field off of the bad of Giles it was a great play to see live.

It Sucks that a amazing person and players career was cut short because of health reasons. I hope to see david in the orange blue again one day, but this time as a coach rather then a player! As someone who has sources in baseball circles I can unequivocally tell you that David Wright could absolutely play with spinal stenosis but he could not do it without his steroid cocktail. That is why he is retiring. Because he knows he would never pass the drug tests. So they had him get 2 at bats which wasn't a full game which means he didn't have to take a drug test. Same way WWE doesn't test their part time wrestlers like Triple H, Kane, Undertaker etc. It's all in the loopholes. Also another reason why David only got a couple final at bats was for insurance purposes. Again, he never played a full game this year so obviously the Mets organization gets the maximum amount. And finally notice how David Wright never said he was going to "retire". Never said it. Once again, this is another important truth so David doesn't forfeit his money while the Mets organization can claim the insurance.
