From his Major League debut to his final out. We relive the best moments David Wright brought us in this tribute video.

About MLB.com:
Commissioner Allan H. (Bud) Selig announced on January 19, 2000, that the 30 Major League club owners voted unanimously to centralize all of Baseball's internet operations into an independent technology company. Major League Baseball Advanced Media (MLBAM) was formed and charged with developing, building and managing the most comprehensive baseball experience available on the internet. In August 2002, MLB.com streamed the first-ever live, full length MLB game when the Texas Rangers and New York Yankees faced off at Yankee Stadium. Since that time, millions of baseball fans around the world have subscribed to MLB.TV, the live video streaming product that airs every game in HD to nearly 400 different devices. MLB.com also provides an array of mobile apps for fans to choose from, including At Bat, the highest-grossing iOS sports app of all-time. MLB.com features a stable of club beat reporters and award-winning national columnists, the largest contingent of baseball reporters under one roof, who deliver over 100 original articles every day. MLB.com also offers extensive historical information and footage, online ticket sales, official baseball merchandise, authenticated memorabilia and collectibles and fantasy games.

Saw an article recently about July 21, 2024 being the best day to retire #5. A Sunday against the Nationals at Citi Field marking the 20th year since his debut and it's against the same franchise, although they were still the Montreal Expos in 2004. I hope the Mets are aware of this, or maybe some intern that runs the youtube channel will see this and pass word along. Thank you to those who put this video together, thank you to the Mets, and most of all thank you David Wright for making the Mets exciting to watch no matter what our record was.

I have been screaming ever since they started talking about the potential for retiring the players numbers they have retired over the last few seasons, and I actually agree with all the numbers they have retired up to today. That said, I also agree with the retiring of Wrights #5, however I feel that #5 should be a "Co-Retire". I don't feel there has ever been a more deserving member of Mets Personnel to have their number retired (Not named Tom Seaver) than The One and Only Davey Johnson. Davey deserves the #5 retired even more than David Wright does, And I say this as a Huge Fan of David Wright.
I actually can not believe I haven't heard one single other person bring this up already!
