We would use a Postfix Mail Transfer Agent (MTA) to set it up as an SMTP server to send the email and Dovecot Mail Delivery Agent (MDA) to set it up as a POP3/IMAP server to receive an email.

We will set up Mutt, a text-based program for reading electronic mail sent or received using an SMTP server.
