Fun fact: the cinematographer of this 1991 film was a young 32-year old named Janusz Kaminski, from Poland. It was his 5th film, and within 2 years of filming “Cool as Ice”, he was filming “Schindler’s List”, directed by Steven Spielberg. And Kaminski and Spielberg would work together for the next 30+ years on almost all of his movies (Saving Private Ryan, Minority Report, War Horse, Lincoln, etc.). It’s one of the most incredible journeys of filmmaker history.


And even from these opening credits, you can tell the cinematographer has a distinct talent and command of the lighting, camera moves, film speeds, etc. It’s all very pro and intentional. Besides the soundtrack, it’s probably the most A-grade contribution to the movie lol.
