Hey guys!
Recently, while working with web3 in Python, I was getting an error!
error: Microsoft Visual C++ 14.0 or greater is required.

I did upgrade my setup tool using: pip install --upgrade setuptools but, it did not resolve the problem.

After rebooting, try installing web3 again using "pip install web3", it should work fine.

Connect with me on:

Thank you for watching!!

I am on windows 11 and getting the same issue. The problem is that when i launch/open the installer, it runs some files(that green indicator) and then nothing comes after that. Nothing happens at all. I have tried running installer as administrator, changing compatibility to windows8/7, ran troubleshooter for the installer and even the windows update troubleshooter but nothing has worked out. I beg someone to help, please

The package shows 6gb of size, can't we just untick optional packages, and only install what is required

my guyyyy it worked!! thank you. Quick question, I've heard people use the term, "run-time environment libraries", would it be accurate to say, "C++ build tools", are run-time environment libraries?

It's kinda ridiculous the only solution is to download 6+ GB of stuff, there must be a better way, but at least it worked for some.
