Aeroperu flight 603 was a scheduled passenger flight flying from Miami-Santiago with stops in multiple citys,
Aeroperu 603 Tookoff at 12:42 Lima Time on October 2 1996, After takeoff the pilots instantly noticed that their basic flight instruments were malfunctioning, trying to return to lima the aircraft had exited the lima city lights before they declared a emergency, (note that may not be correct please tell me if it’s not) They contacted Lima Air Traffic Control and the ATC had correct airspeed but not altitude, they were descending rapidly. ATC Contacted a Boeing 707 to help guide the aircraft to safety, The 707 did not make it as 23 Minutes after takeoff the Aircrafts Left Winglet struck the water causing the plane to lose control and invert into the water, All 70 passengers and crew died.

The Reason why the incident happened is because A Aeroperu Ground crew worker put tape on the static ports, tho the tape must be red he put duck tape. The ground crew worker was sentenced to 2 years in prison.

At the time they hit the water on first impact, The engines were on idle. They pulled as hard as they could. Pilots were heavily overwhelmed. To keep your engines on idle in the air for so long whilst knowing your flight instruments are untrustworthy. Its inevitable you will be descending. Tragic collection of unfortunate events. RIP
