The Irish Guards, is a regiment of the British Army, part of the Guards Division or Household Division.

Their quick march is known as "St Patrick's Day ", but features the tune "Garryowen" prominently. This tune was performed by The Band of the Royal Corps of Signals.

My dads Regiment, the 4th/7th Royal Dragoon Guards used to play this too.

just to tie up a few historical loose ends here .. the motto of the Irish Guards of the British Army is "Faugh a Ballagh" (lead the way). This is also the motto of the 69th Regiment of the US Army and it was also the motto of the Irish Brigade for the French Army at the Battle of Fontenoy ...against the British !! We Irish do get around !!
