The main cause of polycystic kidney disease is gene mutation.
The autosomal recessive form of polycystic kidney disease develops when the PKD1 gene is “broken.”
In the case of an autosomal dominant form of the disease, these are mutations in the PKD1 or PKD2 gene.

Okay so if no one understands this. Its a mutation gene that gets passed down from a parent to their child. This is called polycystic kidney disease. Also, know as pkd. Its where cysts grow on the kydneys. Sometimes the cysts can burst and it feels like your having a knife stabbing that area many times. You will feel pain for a few days and pee blood. My dad and i have pkd and my dad had a cyst burst a couple have times. I never had any. But he told me how bad it hurts. But i hope this helps!

С этим заболеванием можно жить до глубокой старости, это не так опасно как гломерулонефрит. Мой отец имел поликистоз почек и умер он от другой вообще болезни - рак средостения. И до последнего почки нормально работали, хоть и был поликистоз.
