I'm glad you caught the detail that Ruby didn't think hospitalization for her kids was necessary. Now, THAT'S distortion!

Interestingly, I've listened to many youtubers break this down, and no one has mentioned that Ruby says: "I wasn't done! I wasn't finished!" She fully intended to keep abusing those kids until they were dead. Because there is NOTHING the kids could have done to persuade Ruby and Jodi that they weren't possessed anymore.

I'm so, so glad R escaped because if he hadn't, I'm certain he and E would have been tortured to death. It will take sooo much time for him to heal, but that little boy is a hero. And I'm so so sorry he had to be, but I'm so happy he was able to save his own life and his sister's life.

They trapped those poor kids in a no-win scenario. If they fought back, that was proof they were still possessed. If they didn’t fight back, that proves they were still possessed. There was nothing they could do, I can’t even imagine how hopeless they must’ve felt.

Hearing you read her describing their failing bodies, struggling with balance, falling, slipping, losing bowels and bladder, is heartbreaking. If Russell had not been brave and sought help, I have no doubts this story would have been about their murder investigation. Absolutely disgusting.
