Those of us who watched him play at Purdue saw the steady improvement of his game over the course of his college career. He is incredibly athletic for a 7'4", 300lbs man. He is a throwback and comparable to the great big men who played in years past. If he stays healthy, he will be an all-star player for his entire career.

He took 2 three pointers while at Purdue. He hit one.

A big with high IQ. He's helping his team to be top 3 in the west, he should definitely be a candidate for ROY

Just like he was in college, Zach will continue to get better and better as he understands his role and responsibilities in the NBA. This is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Edey and as his career progresses he's going to get much better (barring injuries which is the only thing that may limit his play).

Good video man. I'd like to add....Edey broke NBA records December 26th 2024 vs the Raptors! With 21 points, 16 rebounds, two assists, and two blocks, Edey became just the second rookie in NBA history to tally that line in 30 minutes or fewer. He played only 26 minutes! Arvydas Sabonis achieved that stat but took him 30 minutes!

I keep mistaking Edey for Yao Ming. Their movements are so much alike. Edey needs to take care of his feet, those are what befell many giants like Yao.

Knew he would be good. Watched him the past couple years at Purdue. He is motivated to better his game and is continuing to do so. Grizzlies got the best pick of the draft!

Just big my ass. Zach was awesome in college and super in the pros

I am an awe of how fundamentally sound Zach stays through out every game. He is wearing people down with it. I wish Wilt Chaiberlain was around to play him. That would be epic.

Edey's problem in college was that when he was posting up and dribbling backwards to the hoop, the ball has a long way to go down, and a long way to get back to his hand. He was stripped a lot. But this Boilermaker is loving his play this year.
Zach is SMART. Zach works HARD. He's going to only get better.

I saw a vid of him recently and didn't realize that he's Canadian and grew up playing hockey and only very recently started playing basketball. He's much more athletic and coordinated than I realized. He's already a pretty good low post player with really just a jump hook. Imagine how much better he'll be if he develops a couple other moves...

The most important thing that edey does... Is that he never puts the ball down. He plays big, uses His height in the right way

“He didn’t shoot ANY three pointers in college.” False
He shot 2 three pointers in college his senior year making one. He was automatic inside. Why would he shoot three pointers?

I stand by what I said, and he should have went 1st in the draft. He was by far the best player for a few years in college.
